GVK Software (“us”, “we”, or “our”) operates the mobile application HedgeHog – Password Manager (the “Service”). This SERVICE is provided by GVK Software as Freemium application.

This page is used to inform users regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of limited Personal Information (which can be used to identify a specific individual) and Anonymous Information (which can’t) about our users that use our Service.

If you choose to use our Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. You never have to provide Personal Data, but we need certain Personal Data (like your Google email for Save/Restore/Sync data between the app and our server) in order to provide the Services. The Information that we collect is used for providing and improving the Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

The terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions, which is accessible at application unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy.

Personal and Anonymous Data

As used in this Policy, “Personal Data” means information which, either alone or when combined with other information we hold, identifies an individual, such as name, mailing address, email address, IP address, and telephone number. By contrast, “Anonymous Data” means data that, alone or combined with other information available to us or a third party with whom the data is shared, does not permit identification of an individual. We collect and use both Personal Data and Anonymous Data as described below.

Master Password

To enter and use the Service, you must create a “Master Password,” which is used to generate the encryption key that secures the information you store in the Apps (“Secured Data” as further defined below). This is because, even if a hacker somehow obtained all the Secured Data on our servers, they would have to hack each Account separately (because Secured Data is always encrypted when we have it, and the encryption is based on the Account’s Master Password). Each user must create their own Master Password. Our Zero Knowledge technology ensures that we do not and cannot know our users’ Master Passwords or the data used to generate the encryption key, so we cannot access Secured Data.

Forgot Master Password

The Master Password is used to generate the encryption key that encrypts your data and it is not stored anywhere. Your data will be lost in case you forgot the Master Password.

Secured Data

Our Apps let you manage digital identity data, including highly sensitive information like credit card numbers and site or application credentials. This, and everything else you store on the Service, is Secured Data, and is encrypted and stored locally on your device(s) and on our servers using a random key generated from your Master Password and your Google account mail. Secured Data is encrypted at all times on our servers and cannot be accessed by us because the encryption key is generated from the Master Password and your Google account mail. While We strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect Your Personal Data, We cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Security

Our Security hosts it’s infrastructure with Google Firebase in a highly secure server environment with 24×7 monitoring, surveillance and support to prevent unauthorised access and data security. Advanced security measures including firewalls, security guards and surveillance are taken to ensure the continued service and protection of your data from natural disaster, intruders and disruptive events. More information about Firebase Cloud Security can be found at https://policies.google.com/privacy. While We strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect Your Personal Data, We cannot guarantee its absolute security.

For a better experience, while using our Service, we may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information. The information that we request will be retained by us and used as described in this privacy policy.
